Parenting OC’s Annual Summer Opportunities Jamboree Mar. 3
Jamboree will have special guests, along with games and many new exhibitors featuring family travel destination spots, summer camps, and school information. The Aquarium of the Pacific will be in attendance with the acclaimed Aquarium on Wheels, and back by popular demand is the Bubble-Dash Games.

Oso Fit – Mission Viejo Community Health Fair & 5K Fun Run Mar. 3
Hosted by the City and Mission Viejo Chamber of Commerce, the event is an extension of the annual Community Health Fair and in honor of the City’s 30th anniversary celebration this year. The Community Health Fair features something for all ages including a host of free screenings.

Festival of Whales Mar. 3-4 & 10-11
In addition to whale watching at the height of whale watching season, festival includes a kick-off parade, Sand Sculpting, Ocean Awareness Day, musical entertainment, on-the-water Concert, Whale of a Block Party, Art Shows, Pancake Breakfast, BBQs, Kids Interpretive Crafts, Classic Car Exhibits, Lectures/Seminars at multiple venues including the Ocean Institute, Historic Walking Tours, Paddling Events, Sailing/Rowing/Kayak/SUP Demos, plus much more!

Cherry Blossum Festival Mar. 18

Swallows Day Fiesta Grande Mar. 21
This night of Old West entertainment consists of four contests are rolled into one! Best Dressed Old West Man, Best Dressed Old West Woman, Best Belt Buckle, and the Hairiest Man (best moustache and/or beard). For the more timid, spectators are always welcome.

Swallows Day Parade & Mercado Mar. 24
This is the nation’s largest non-motorized parade. It is totally organized and presented by the San Juan Capistrano Fiesta Association. The Mercado is a Street Fair and Market Place where you can eat, drink, and shop at over 100 booths. It is THE place to be after the parade! Listen and dance to the music of The Working Cowboy Band, a traditional country music band.

Crafts Games Face Painting Entertainment Instructor Showcase – meet the Parks and Recreation class instructors “Touch a Truck” – kids will get to climb, work on and “drive” a fun work truck, including trash, fire, and Sheriff’s Department. The Easter Bunny will also be hopping around! No egg hunt.

Zombie defense mobilization efforts are now underway as OC residents prepare for an impending zombie invasion experience–armed with only foam blasters. Grab your opportunity to be a part of this blaster battle that follows a plot, evolving as players interact throughout the game.
