There’s something about cranberry and bourbon that feels instantly festive—bright, bold, and perfect for entertaining. This Cranberry Mint Bourbon Cocktail strikes the ideal balance between tart and smooth, with fresh citrus and mint adding a refreshing finish. Whether you’re hosting a holiday gathering or simply unwinding at home, this cocktail is simple to make and guaranteed to impress.
Ingredients
Simple Syrup
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup water
Cocktail & Garnish
• 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
• 16 cranberries (thawed if frozen)
• ¼ lemon, cut into wedges
• 8 fresh mint leaves, plus 2 small sprigs for garnish
• 4 oz bourbon
• 1 oz 100% cranberry juice or cranberry juice cocktail

Directions
Begin by making the simple syrup. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and water, stirring occasionally until the sugar fully dissolves and the syrup becomes clear, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and allow it to cool completely.
To prepare the garnish, place 2 tablespoons of the simple syrup in a small bowl and spread the granulated sugar onto a plate. Roll 6 cranberries in the syrup, letting the excess drip off, then coat them in sugar. Skewer 3 cranberries onto each cocktail pick and set aside.
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the lemon wedges, mint leaves, remaining cranberries, and 2 ounces of the simple syrup until fragrant and well combined. Fill the shaker halfway with ice, add the bourbon and cranberry juice, then shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. Strain into two ice-filled glasses and garnish each with a sugared cranberry pick and a fresh mint sprig.
Serving Tip
For an extra festive touch, chill your glasses beforehand or rim them lightly with sugar using lemon juice. This cocktail pairs beautifully with holiday appetizers, cozy dinners, or fireside conversations.
