The Fourth of July is the biggest celebration of the year. Family and friends gather to celebrate Independence Day clad in red, white, and blue clothes, patriotic hats, and glasses. It’s time for parades, barbecues, and fireworks. Here’s a list of events to help you find a 4th of July celebration near you.

Aliso Viejo
Aliso Viejo 4th Of July Community & Fireworks Celebration
Where: Aliso Viejo Ranch – 100 Park Avenue
When: 6-9:30 PM
Join your neighbors, community partners, and City staff for a morning filled with activities and entertainment for all ages, including carnival games, rock wall, giant slide, face painting, and more!
The low-level fireworks show will start at approximately 9:00 p.m.
Dana Point
4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza
Where: Doheny State Beach
When: 9:00 PM
The BEST Southern California fireworks display is back again for 2022!
Prior to the fireworks display the Condor Squadron, consisting of WWII North American AT-6 airplanes, will be making a flyover Dana Point from 5:55 pm to 6:00 pm, so look to the skies for this annual tradition.

Ladera Ranch
Patriotic Parade
Where: Founders Park
When: 7:00 AM – 9:30 PM
A fun-filled day of activities including a parade, 5 and 10K Freedom Runs, Pancake Breakfast, Community Parade, Games, Activities, Food Truck, and Concert (Undercover – Top 40). Fireworks are displayed at dark. The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Sienna Pkwy and Daisy Street.
Laguna Beach
City of Laguna Beach Fireworks Display
Where: Heisler Park at Monument Point
When: 9:00 PM
The City fireworks show will begin at approximately 9:00 p.m. The fireworks will originate from Monument Point at Heisler Park. For this reason, the Monument Point area will be closed all day on the 4th of July. Beginning at approximately 5 pm, the area of Heisler Park from Myrtle Street to the Rockpile Beach stairs at Jasmine Street will be closed to the public to allow for fireworks preparation.
Laguna Niguel
July 4th Week of Festivities
Where: Crown Valley Community Park
When: 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Activities:
Free events will be held at Crown Valley Park. Hear live music from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm by Springsteen Experience (Bruce Springsteen Tribute) Ruby’s Diner Food Truck, Fiesta Gourmet Food Truck, and Screamin’ Ice Cream will have food available for purchase starting at 6 pm. A 4th of July flyover at 6:00 PM features six acrobatic airplanes with smoke that will loop around Laguna Niguel over Crown Valley Parkway from the 5 FWY to PCH and over city hall. A digital fireworks display will stream on Facebook beginning at 7 PM
The Fireworks show will start at approximately 9:00 p.m.
Laguna Hills
City of Laguna Hills Fourth of July Celebration
Where: Laguna Hills Community Center & Sports Complex
When: 6:30 PM
Activities: Carnival rides, games, live music, patriotic crafts, face painting, food, and drinks available for purchase. No seating is available, bring lawn chairs. There will also have a live band and food trucks starting at 6:30 pm.

Mission Viejo
July 4th Street Faire
Where: Olympiad between Marguerite and Melinda
When: 12:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Activities: Join us for fun on the 4th of July! The Mission Viejo Activities Committee will hold the annual 4th of July Street Faire and Fireworks Spectacular on Olympiad between Marguerite and Melinda. The fun begins at 12:00 noon with live entertainment on the Main Stage and youth bands performing on our Freedom Stage. There will be rides for the kiddies to enjoy. Food and Game Booths operated by local service groups will be available to delight your taste buds and bring fun and laughter to the little ones. There will also be over 30 booths with wonderful crafts and gift ideas. Admission is FREE with tickets being sold for games and rides.
San Clemente

Gates open at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 4, with live music beginning at 1:30 P.M., Enjoy old-fashioned picnic games, food vendors, exhibitors, a beer and wine garden, and, of course, spectacular fireworks to close out the festivities at 9:00 p.m. A full-scale carnival complete with over 20 thrill rides for all ages will run from July 1–4.
South Orange County 4th of July Events
Huntington Beach
4th of July Celebration Parade & Pier Festival
Where: Huntington Beach Neighborhoods and Downtown
When: July 4th, 2022 All Day
Activities: The biggest 4th of July Parade in Orange County has been modified again for 2022. There will be a parade caravan traveling through Huntington Beach neighborhoods on the morning of the 4th of July. The parade route will be announced at a later date. There is also a city-wide decorating contest that residents and businesses are invited to participate in. For 2022, a Pier Plaza Festival is planned with vendors, a Ferris wheel, and a 12,000-square-foot beer and wine garden. The Surf City 5K run will feature staggered start times on a course along Goldenwest and into Central Park. Finally, fireworks over the ocean have been tentatively approved. As the sun sets the ships to choose from several huge fireworks displays and get positioned for the show. The sights and sounds of fireworks over the ocean are a magical experience.
