Even amidst the “new normal”, currently living with social distancing and other safety precautions, Orange County still has a few events you can participate in to celebrate our nation’s birthday!

San Clemente Firework Show – Tune in to the Live Stream
To encourage residents to celebrate at home, the City is pleased to offer a live stream of the fireworks display. At approximately 8:50 p.m., spectators can enjoy a July 4th Fireworks Virtual Opening Ceremony which will include a message from San Clemente City Council, a rendition of the national anthem, and other homages honoring Independence Day. The video will be available from the City’s YouTube channel and will include the accompanying fireworks music.
San Juan Capistrano “Drive-In Firework Show”
This one is an RSVP must! Visit the event’s page for more information and get your parking spot for this slightly modified tradition.
Tustin will still be holding its annual firework display
“Tustin has a long history of being a military town, and celebrating those who have served and continue serving is part of the city’s character and part of who we are,” said Tustin Mayor Allan Bernstein, explaining why the city is moving ahead with a professional fireworks show. “Given that we are dealing with a very fluid pandemic, we also wanted to celebrate and acknowledge how successful our community has been in helping stop the spread of COVID-19.”
A live fireworks display will light up the skies above Tustin, but residents are asked to enjoy it from their homes. Those who can’t get a good view of the sky can watch the fireworks live-streamed on the town’s website.
Note that absolutely no one will be admitted to the grounds of Tustin High School. To watch online, go to Tustin4thOfJuly.com and tune into radio station 91.7 FM.
