We all know that large gourmet kitchens, walk-in closets, and homes with a view or spacious backyard are high on any buyers list. But beyond the details of your home itself, there are other factors that can increase your resale value.

Here’s a list of the neighborhood features that are guaranteed to increase your resale and property value in the future.

Amenities  
Who wouldn’t love basking in the sun at a free pool, or getting in a great workout at a free fitness center? Homeowners love neighborhood amenities. A lot of Southern California community neighborhoods offer pools, fitness facilities, parks/ play areas, and security and gates. Amenities such as tennis courts, pools, and dog parks do incredible things to boost a home’s resale value. 

 Schools 

It pretty much goes without saying that if a neighborhood is located in a great school district, it immediately increases a home’s resale value. Irvine and Aliso Viejo are highly sought after areas strictly for their outstanding schools. If a home is in a quality school district, it tends not only to retain its value, but appreciate as well.

Walkability
While it may seem that walking to places is a fad of years past, truth is, there’s something about being able to walk out your front door and head down the street to the grocery store, gym, or local Starbucks that not only appeals to potential buyers but also greatly increases your resale value.
